Kruger Pulp Mill

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)



Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Red Seal Industrial Electrician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance. The successful candidate will have a previous experience working in an industrial, safety sensitive work environment.



✓ Working safely around power distribution up to 13.8kV;
✓ Trouble shooting and repair of electrical components up to 2,300V;
✓ Lockout of mill power systems;
✓ Support mill upgrades and projects including shutdowns;
✓ General preventative maintenance including motor cleaning, lighting, printing maintenance;
✓ Construction projects including building tray, pulling cable, terminations, and commissioning.



✓ Safety focused;
✓ Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor;
✓ Self-directed and works with minimal supervision;
✓ Ability to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of assignments with conflicting priorities and deadlines;
✓ Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
✓ Strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent judgment and willingness to learn;
✓ Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;
✓ Detail oriented.



✓ Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Electrician Certification;
✓ 3-5 years of industrial experience working in a safety sensitive environment;
✓ Experience working with PLCs;
✓ Proficient with computers including experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);
✓ Possessing a dual ticket qualification in Instrumentation and/or HVAC in addition would be an asset.
