KIS offers in-person Language Assessments.
We follow The Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT). The test assesses your ability to listen, speak, read, and write English.
The CLBPT is a national, standardized system of measuring a person’s English language proficiency.
It consists of:
The CLBPT takes approximately 1½ -2 hours in total.
Clients are given a copy of their results immediately after the test.
If you are interested in attending KIS English classes (LINC) the results of your test will help determine which class level you will be the most comfortable to participate in.
The results can also be used for placement into workplace training programs with a language component.
KIS CLBPT assessors are certified to administer the CLBPT.
*Note that CLBPT in NOT accepted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada as proof of language ability (see the IRCC website for what you need for proof of language).
