community events

Each year KIS supports and participates in Community events such as:

  • Canada Day
  • Children’s Art Festival
  • Overlander’s Day
  • National Aboriginal Day
  • Wild Salmon Caravan
  • Santa Claus Parade
  • Pride Parade
  • Holi Festival

We will be co-hosting the upcoming first multicultural festival in Kamloops, TAPESTRY, Saturday September 18th, 2021 at McDonald Park.

We occasionally host booths at the Local Farmers Market on Saturdays where you are welcome to join and gain experience interacting with the public, practicing your English while facilitating games and interactive art displays.

We also hosted community events at the agency such as the monthly potlucks, talent shows, and pumpkin carving.

Community Connections continues to be a vital part of the Settlement and Integration Program.

To find out about upcoming activities, see our Events Calendar or contact Yenny Yao, Community Connections Coordinator, 778-470-6101 ext. 116 or [email protected]
