Racism and Discrimination in 캠룹스

Despite the rich cultural diversity in Kamloops, racism and discrimination remain challenges that communities continue to address. These issues affect individuals from various racial and ethnic backgrounds, including Indigenous peoples, immigrants, and visible minorities, often leading to social and economic exclusion. Combatting racism requires a collective effort, with education, awareness, and policy change at the forefront of these efforts.

그만큼 United Against Discrimination (UAD) Coalition

The United Against Discrimination (UAD) Coalition, formerly known as Organize Against Racism and Hate (OARH), is a dedicated group of stakeholders committed to fighting racism, discrimination, and hate in our communities. Supported by the UBC CUES fund and Resilience BC and managed by KCR Community Resources, UAD works to raise awareness, support victims, and drive systemic change through social, political, and educational initiatives. By collecting incident reports, recruiting community partners, and educating the public, UAD aims to develop a community-based response to racism and discrimination while advocating for financial and official backing for these vital efforts.

Addressing Systemic Racism – Resilience BC

The Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network, active in over 50 communities, is committed to eliminating racism and hate by fostering education, understanding, and accountability. With support from the Resilience BC Hub, this network brings communities together to challenge systemic racism and create a future where everyone is treated with respect and equity.

Educational Programs and Community Engagement
