Learn to Camp with KIS and Parks Canada!

Kamloops Immigrant Services is partnering with Parks Canada and TRU World to give newc0mers a chance to experience a truly Canadian experience – camping!

We will be meeting at Paul Lake on June 14 and staying the night.  All newcomer families will be provided with a tent and sleeping mats, as well as all of their meals and fun activities.  They will also be paired with a camping mentor, an experienced camper who can help them set up tents and answer any camping questions that might come up.

If you are interested in signing up for this event, or in volunteering as a camping mentor, please contact Coby Piazza ASAP, as we have a limited number of spots available.  Call 778-470-6101 or e-mail communityconnection@kcris.ca for more details.
