Volunteer – Summer Fun Series

Every Thursday afternoon in July & August from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Kamloops Immigrant Services is hosting a children’s Summer Fun Series at MacDonald Park!  This program provides an opportunity for children and their parents to join us in crafting, play, singing, dancing, sports, and other fun things.

The skills and attributes we’re looking for in our volunteers include:
– Working with children;
– Helping to setup and take down for the program;
– Enjoy being outdoors and active;
– Being creative and helping children with crafts;
– Organizing and teaching sports; and
– Supervising children at the playground and/or waterpark.

The benefits of volunteering in the Summer Fun Series are:

– Learning about different cultures and languages;
– Experiences interacting with children;
– Strengthening supervisory and organizational skills;

– You will earn a volunteer certificate for your work portfolio.
